Why is there a fee?
The fee helps RACE operate the transaction protection service and support the transaction from funding through completion.
Fee questions
The protection fee is calculated when the transaction is funded and shown in full before payment is confirmed.
By default the buyer pays the protection fee on top of the transaction amount, so the agreed amount stays intact for the seller.
Yes. The seller receives the agreed transaction amount when the release condition is met.
If a transaction is cancelled before it is funded, no fee applies. Cancellations after funding follow the transaction terms.
The funds stay protected while the dispute is reviewed. The outcome follows the transaction terms and the evidence provided.
