Section 01

About RACE

RACE is a transaction protection service that holds a buyer’s payment until the conditions agreed between the buyer and the seller are met.

These terms describe the relationship between RACE and the people who use it.

Section 02

Using RACE

You must provide accurate information about yourself and about each transaction you create.

You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account.

Section 03

Transactions

A transaction records what is being exchanged, the amount and the condition under which protected funds are released.

Both parties are expected to agree on those details before the transaction is funded.

Section 04

Payments

A protection fee is calculated when a transaction is funded and is shown before payment is confirmed.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

Section 05

Protection and release conditions

Protected funds are held against the agreed release condition and are not available to the seller until that condition is met.

‘Payment secured’ and ‘funds released’ are separate states of a transaction.

Section 06

Disputes

Either party may open a dispute while funds remain protected.

Disputes are reviewed against the transaction terms and the evidence provided. No particular outcome is guaranteed.

Section 07

User responsibilities

You agree to describe transactions honestly, to communicate through the transaction, and to keep the evidence that supports your side.

Section 08

Prohibited transactions

RACE may not be used for unlawful goods or services, or for any transaction that breaches the rules of our payment partners.

Section 09

Account termination

RACE may suspend or close an account where these terms are breached or where activity presents a risk to other users.

Section 10

Liability

RACE provides the protection service described in these terms and is not a party to the underlying agreement between a buyer and a seller. We are not responsible for the quality, legality or suitability of the goods or services exchanged.

Our responsibility is limited to holding protected funds and releasing them in line with the agreed release condition and the outcome of any dispute review. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

Section 11

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
